Wrestlers Reunion Scotland

It's a long way up, but not as difficult to get to as you might think. Apparently Scotland has roads these days and Ayr has direct trains from Glasgow, which is apparently linked to the rest of the UK.

It's a great day out.

Sanjay Bagga, Lee Bamber, Johnny Kidd and Ken Sowden have booked their flights.

Tarantula will be there.

Steve Casey tells us he will be there (as long as his car passes it's MOT on the Friday)

Colin Joynson will see you there.

Billy LaRue, Les Prest, Ray Clark, Gernot Freiburg will be there.

And, of course, the lads and lasses of the Old Mossblown Gym.

Plus the biggest free buffet on the planet.

Even Main Mask will be there.

Agreed Les. I think it was the best yet. Made all the better for you donating a bottle of gin which I won in the raffle. That raffle was huge. Sanjay said to me it would have been quicker to tell everyone just to pick up a bottle on the way out. Adrian Pollard will have a good party with his collection. Enjoyed my meal with you and Ray Clarke on the Saturday night.

Another great day in Ayr for the WRS8 and it was so good to see many friends there and also make some new ones. Thanks go to host/organiser Andrew Bryden and to Hack who presided over the award ceremony. I was honoured to present a number of awards on behalf of the WRS and am pleased to see posts today on social media from those who attended all saying what a enjoyable day it was. Well done to all involved in making this Reunion happen and working so hard all year round to ensure it remains as poplar as it has always been.

Nineteen gathered last night for the first of the Ayr events. A few more will join them tonight, including Ray Clark, Karl Heinz, Les Prest and Bill Barney. Main event Sunday usually attracts 80 to 100.

We are all looking forward to going to Ayr from the South this year and am delighted to say that at the time of writing 14 people who attended the Watford Lunch will also be joining everyone for the day. By the Watford and Ayr events working together it enhances both and will ensure that we can continue for many years to come. I know what is planned for the day and it is going to be a memorable one I am sure

Best wishes for a great occasion. Unfortunately I cannot attend diue to health reasons again. I have enjoyed several reunions in Ayr and rate them as excellent. I always liked wrestling in Scotland and I have great memories of places like Ayr and Rothesay and of fine Scottish wrestlers too. Best wishes to all concerned. Eddie Rose (Manchester).😊
